When I first began my journey into whole body health and natural living, I made the common mistake of only buying foods that were labeled "organic"... well not only did my wallet take a hit, but I found it really hard to find certain organic foods at my local market. When the Environmental Working Group came out with The Dirty Dozen (what to avoid) list, and The Clean 15 (safe to buy) list, I was at ease (and my wallet) knowing that certain conventional foods were still safe to consume
The Dirty Dozen:
CeleryPeaches
Strawberries
Apples
Blueberries
Nectarines
Bell Peppers
Spinach
Cherries
Kale/Lettuce
Grapes (imported)
Potatoes
The Clean 15:
Onions
Avocado
Sweet Corn
Pineapple
Mango
Sweet Peas
Asparagus
Kiwi
Cabbage
Eggplant
Cantaloupe
Watermelon
Grapefruit
Sweet Potatoes
Melon
